경산 신한리 근대한옥의 안채는 정면 5칸, 측면 3칸 규모의 ㅡ자형 평면을 이루며, 가운데 마루를 중심으로 좌우에 방이 배치된 구조이다. 마루 왼쪽 방은 주방과 연결된 안방이며, 오른쪽 방은 건너방으로 사용되었다. 대청마루 전면에는 툇마루가 설치되어 있고, 미서기 유리문을 전면부에 두어 전통 한옥과 근대기 주거 형식이 혼합된 특징을 보인다.

Main Quarters

The main quarters of this house has a straight floor plan, measuring five bays in width and three bays in depth. A wooden-floored hall occupies the center, with a room on each side. The room to the left of the hall serves as the main room and is connected to the kitchen. A narrow wooden veranda runs along the front of the hall, and sliding glass doors installed on the facade illustrate a blend of traditional Korean architecture and modern residential features of the early 20th century.
