국문

공주 수원사지 석탑지는 수원사 중심부에 석탑이 있던 곳이다.

1967년과 1989년 발굴 조사 당시에 탑의 부재들이 지표면 아래 40㎝ 지점에 묻혀 있었으나 현재는 받침돌을 비롯한 일부만이 지상에 남아 있다. 또한 이 석탑지는 금당지와 어느 정도 거리를 두고 있다. 일반적으로 석탑은 금당 바로 앞에 세워지는데, 이 석탑은 금당의 범위에서 벗어나 독립된 형태로 조성되었다.

이곳에서는 곱돌로 만든 소탑, 청동 풍탁, 청동 탑 조각, 소조 불상 조각, 석불 좌상 조각, 나한상의 머리 부분, 탑의 머리 장식 부재 등 다양한 유물이 출토되었다. 이 유물들은 현재 모두 국립공주박물관에 보관되어 있다.

Stone Pagoda Site (Suwonsa Temple Site, Gongju)

This is the site of the stone pagoda of Suwonsa Temple.

During excavations in 1967 and 1989, the remaining parts of the pagoda were found 40 cm below ground. Only part of the base remains. Generally, stone pagodas are built directly in front of the main worship hall, but this stone pagoda was built at a separate location apart from the main worship hall site.

Artifacts excavated in the vicinity include a small pagoda made of agalmatolite, bronze roof-end wind chimes, shards of a bronze pagoda, shards of a clay Buddhist statue, a shard of a stone seated Buddhist statue, a head of an arhat statue, and part of the pagoda’s decorative top. All these artifacts are kept at the Gongju National Museum.

석탑 터 주변에서는 곱돌로 만든 소탑, 청동 풍탁, 청동 탑 조각, 소조 불상 조각, 석불 좌상 조각, 나한상의 머리 부분, 탑의 머리장식 부재 등 다양한 유물이 출토되었다. 이 유물들은 현재 모두 국립공주박물관에 보관되어 있다.
