해설문

국문

강당터 서쪽에 남북으로 나란히 자리한 두 개의 건물터다. 앞쪽의 큰 건물터에는 강 자갈돌을 둥글게 쌓은 적심(積心)이 동서로 1칸, 남북으로 7칸 남아 있고, 뒤쪽의 건물터는 적심이 불규칙하게 흩어져 있다. 앞쪽 건물터에서 대형항아리(大壺)를 땅속에 묻었던 시설이 발견되었다. 건물터의 위치나 구조로 보아 승방(僧房)과 같은 사찰의 부속 건물로 추정된다.

Building Sites No. 8 and 9

This is the site of two buildings that are presumed to be related to the Buddhist temple which once stood at this archeological site. They are situated to the west of the lecture hall site and stand one in front of the other, which suggests that they were the monks’ living quarters.

The front building was larger than the rear building. A large earthenware jar was also discovered buried underground at the site of the front building.

영문 해설 내용

이곳의 두 건물은 왕궁리 유적에 들어섰던 사찰과 관련이 있는 것으로 추정된다. 강당터 서쪽에 앞뒤로 나란히 서 있으며, 승방이었던 것으로 추정된다.

앞쪽의 건물이 뒤쪽의 건물보다 규모가 크다. 앞쪽 건물에서는 대형 항아리를 땅속에 묻었던 시설이 발견되었다.
