해설문

국문

이 탑은 일제강점기 당시 조국의 독립과 국권 회복을 위해 항일활동을 전개한 강원지역 애국선열들의 숭고한 희생정신을 기리고 나아가 후손들의 나라사랑정신을 함양하기 위해 건립되었다. 탑의 모양은 의병들이 사용하였던 창을 의미하며 동시에 민족정기와 정의를 상징한다. 1995년 강원도 춘천시 중도에 최초로 건립되었으며, 이후 레고랜드 건설에 따라 2021년 현 위치로 이전하였다.

Monument to the Anti-Japanese Patriots of Gangwon-do Province

This monument was built to honor the patriotic activists who led and participated in the anti-Japanese independence movement in Gangwon-do Province during the Japanese colonial period (1910-1945). It was designed in the shape of a spear, as spears were used by the local civilian fighters. The monument was originally erected in Jungdo-dong, Chuncheon in 1995 but was moved in 2021 to the current location due to the construction of Legoland Korea.
