Gwangju’s Representative Female K-pop Icon: Zuny of Ladies Code

Narrative

Kim Joo-mi (1994-), better known by her stage name Zuny, is a member of the K-pop girl group Ladies Code, which was formed in 2013 by Polaris Entertainment. A native of Gwangju, Zuny grew up in the Songjeong-dong neighborhood of Gwangsan-gu District, attending Songjeongdong Elementary School, Songjeong Middle School, and Myeongji High School. Other K-pop stars from Gwangju include BTS's J-Hope, who was born the same year as Zuny, and TVXQ's U-KNOW, who are all featured as part of Gwangju's K-pop Star Street.
