In 1980, Gwangju, South Korea, witnessed the May 18 Democratic Uprising, a key pro-democracy movement against Chun Doo-hwan's military regime. Notable among them is the work "Gwangju People's Uprising," which is displayed at Chonnam National University College of Education Building No. 1 and was created by the Mural Promotion Committee.
