These neighborhood has numerous trendy cafes that visitors can choose from and is home to many restaurants specializing in barley rice (boribap), a popular Korean dish that has made the list of both Gwangju's five delicacies and seven delicacies. Nearby is the Oh Ji-ho Memorial Hall, which honors the renowned painter, Oh Ji-ho (1905-1982), who founded the Gwangju Fine Art Research Society in 1948.
