Foreigners' Impressions of Gwangju
Story
- As the largest city in the Jeolla region, Gwangju has long attracted foreigners to visit for work or pleasure. Many of these foreigners have left written accounts of their time in Gwangju. The episodes in this story will look at Gwangju from an outsider's perspective by exploring the writings of Western missionaries living in Gwangju in the early 20th century and foreign journalists who witnessed the May 18 Democratic Uprising.
