Translation
Poem 59 : Kathy Lin
For letters, there’s Li Tai Bai 1
For calligraphy, Wang Xi Zhi. 2
A day without reading,
The mouth grows thorns and thistles.

1. Li Tai Bai was a pre-eminent Tang Dynasty poet (701 -762 AD)
2. Wang Xi Zhi (303 - 361 AD) was a famed calligrapher
