경복궁 경성전

Definition

강녕전 서쪽에 있는 건물이다. 1395(태조 4)년에 침전인 강녕전의 소침으로 처음 지었다. 1592년 임진왜란 때 불탔으며, 1867(고종 4)년에 중건하였다. 1917년 창덕궁 내전에서 불이 나 건물이 전소하자, 이 건물을 헐어 복원하는 부재로 사용하였다. 1995년 이 권역을 복원할 때 함께 복원하였다.
