Definition

【1851년(철종 2) ~ 1895년(고종 32)】. 빅토르 콜랭 드 플랑시(Victor Collin de Plancy). 駐朝 프랑스 초대 공사. 1887년 초대 프랑스공사로 파견되었으며 총 13년간 두 차례에 걸쳐 주 조선 프랑스 공사로 근무하는 동안 조불수호조약을 비준하고 선교약조를 체결하는 등 한불외교에서 중요한 역할을 하였다. 한국에 있는 동안 방대한 양의 한국 도자와 서적을 수집히였다. 현존 최고의 금속활자본인 불조직지심체요절을 구입하여 프랑스로 반출하였다는 사실이 모리스 쿠랑의 Bibliographie_Coréenne(한국서지)에 실려 있다.
