의친왕궁

Definition

대한제국기 고종의 둘째 황자 의화군 이강을 의왕으로 책봉한 후 신설된 궁. 의친왕 이강의 궁호 및 궁가를 일컫는다. 1891년 12월에 의화군으로 봉작되었고, 1900년 8월 의왕으로 책봉되었다. 1900년 8월 궁내부 관제 개편으로 친왕부를 설치하면서 의친왕부에 속하였다.
