Definition
【1861~1983】. 미국 남부의 개신교 교단. 교리에 대한 보수-진보 노선의 견해 차이로 1838년 미국북장로회(The Prebyterian Chuch in the USA)에서 분리된 후 또다시 노예제, 교회의 정치 참여에 대한 입장 차이로 1861년 독립 교단 설립. 1983년 미국장로교(Presbyterian Church USA)로 합병되었다.
