답장별문석

Definition

답장별문석(踏掌別文席)는이동식 의자인 교의(交椅) 앞에 놓고 오르 내릴때 발을 딛거나, 의자에 앉은 후 발을 올려 놓는 용도로 만든 답장(踏掌) 밑에 까는 무늬가 있는 돗자리이다. 주로 꽃무늬를 넣어 답장채화석(踏掌彩花席)이라고도 한다. 궁중연향 때 사용하였다.
