토수

Definition

건물 네 귀퉁이의 추녀 끝을 받치고 있는 사래목에 끼워 감싸는 용두, 또는 귀면형 모양의 서까래 기와를 말한다. 사래목이 위로 올라가 있어서 부식을 막기 위해서 토수를 씌우는 것이며, 그 모양이 네모졌기 때문에 토수 엮시 속을 네모지게 만든다.
