은대

Definition

은대(銀臺)는 5개의 꽃잎을 형상화한 은으로 만든 술잔 받침대이다. 1887년(고종 24) 신정왕후의 팔순잔치때는 옥배(玉杯)의 받침대로 쓰였다. 궁중연향에서 주빈에게 술을 바치는 의식을 행할 때 다양한 종류의 술잔이 쓰이는데, 술잔의 종류와 모양에 따라 받침대의 종류와 모양도 달라졌다.
