염수

Definition

염수(鹽水)는 궁중연향에서 음식을 맛보기 전에 바치는 소금물이다. 1887년(고종 24) 만경전 정일진찬 때 흰 소금 1사[夕]을 풀은 후 갑번자기에 담아 주칠소원반 위에 올려서 신정왕후에게 바쳤다. 휘건을 올리는 진휘건, 꽃을 올리는 진화의식 다음에 염수(鹽水)를 바친다. 진화, 진휘건 다음에 진염수 의식을 행하기도 한다.
