Definition
대약과(大藥果)는 밀가루에 꿀, 참기름, 후춧가루를 넣어 반죽하여 모지게, 크게 만들어 참기름에 속까지 잘 익도록 지진 후 사탕 녹인 것에 계피가루를 넣어 담가내어 잣가루를 뿌린 검고 단맛과 고소한 맛이 나는 과자이다. 왕실의 대표적인 유밀과이다. 1887년(고종 24) 1월 27일 경복궁 만경전에서 열린 정일진찬 때 신정왕후에게 올린 대왕대비전진어찬안에 있다. 1자 3치 높이로 120개를 고였다.
