For the amt. spent my brothers have sent 100.00 which is to be placed to the credit of the Mission here. In connection with this school we are making a decided stand for self-support & insisting that those who shall receive assistance shall do work for it. In Korea where work is degrading & lowering this is hard but all the more necessary. 이 편지에 1월 31일까지의 회계보고서를 동봉해 보내어 드립니다. 박사님께서는 12월 31일까지 보고서를 정리해 보내달라고 하셨지만 제가 너무도 바빴기 때문에 장부를 정리해 두지도 못했었습니다. 그래서 필요한 대로 돈을 지출하였고 1월 달에 영수증을 보면서 모두 기록해 두었습니다. 제 장부를 이렇게 기록했기 때문에, 제가 기록한 기간에 대해 제가 기입한 것과 다른 계산이 나올 수는 없을 겁니다. 이렇게 시간에 쫓기며 겨우 겨우 기록해 두었던 것에 대해서는 죄송하다는 말씀을 드립니다. 그렇지만 어쩔 수 없었습니다. |

박사님께서도 사역 현장에 계셨다면 그럴 수밖에 없었다는 것을 알게 되시리라 생각됩니다. 워낙 일에 쫓기다 보니 식사할 겨를도 없었습니다. 이런 많은 일들을 하는 중에 부흥이 일어났고 그러다 보니 과로하지 않을 수 없었습니다. 그래서 그동안 여러 일 처리를 제대로 해 놓지 못했습니다. 하룬 씨는 제게 편지를 보내어 매달 계산서를 보내어 달라고 했지만 그것은 정말로 불가능한 일이었습니다. 제가 보내 드리는 보고서를 보시면서 만족하실 것이라 믿습니다. 여기에 필요한 모든 내용이 담겨 있다고 생각합니다. 8월 1일 하룬 씨의 계산서가 이곳에 도착했습니다. 아직 모든 금액이 다 지불되지는 못했습니다. 이곳 선교부에서 위탁받아 보유하고 있는 돈이 어느 정도 있습니다. |
