Management of the Gaeseong merchant in Goryeo Dynasty
During the Goryeo Dynasty, Gaeseong merchants expand their trade widely not only the public trade but also the private trade with foreign merchants through 'Yeseonggang port' in Byrullando. Especially, the Koryoin people traded the most specialized ginseng. Ginseng has historically grown on the Korean Peninsula since the Three Kingdoms Period. As Goryeo unified its post-Samsung nation, ginseng produced on the Korean Peninsula became a common term. Gaeseong has become famous as it has continued to exist since the mid Goryeo Period as a major plantation of the Goryeo ginseng. In particular, Gaeseong of the Goryeo Dynasty developed into an international trade port, ginseng began to spread abroad.
