C지구는 이성산성의 중심 구역으로 C 지구 건물터 등 여러 주요 건물터와 저수지가 집중적으로 발견되었다. C지구 12각 건물터의 지름은 10.78m이며 12개의 초석*을 3겹으로 놓았다. 경사진 곳에 축대를 쌓고 그 안쪽에 흙을 채워 다져서 공간을 확보한 뒤 건물을 지었다. 흙을 채운 곳이 내려앉으면서 초석이 가라앉거나 원위치에서 이동한 것이 많고 없어진 초석도 있다. 전체 초석은 원래 36개일 것으로 추정한다. 이 가운데 원위치에 있는 것이 9개, 이동하거나 넘어진 것이 18개, 없어진 것이 9개로 확인된다. 주요 유물로 격자문 기와, 고배**, 합*** 등이 있다.

Decagonal Building Site in Section C, Iseongsanseong Fortress, Hanam

Section C covers the central area of the Iseongsanseong Fortress and has a high concentration of structural remains such as building sites and reservoirs.

Decagonal (12-sided) Building Site in Section C measures 10.78 m in diameter. It is presumed that the building had a total of 36 pillar base stones which formed three 12-sided polygons decreasing in size from the exterior to the center of the building. To create an even surface for this building, a retaining wall filled with compressed dirt was built on the slope. Due to the subsidence of the earthen platform, some of the pillar base stones sank under the ground, moved from their original location, or completely disappeared. Nine of these stones remain in their original locations, 18 stones changed their location, and nine stones could not be found. The artifacts excavated on the site include roof tiles with lattice designs, high-footed cups, and brass bowls.

C지구는 이성산성의 중심 구역으로 여러 건물터와 저수지 등의 유구가 집중적으로 발견되었다.

C지구 12각 건물터는 지름 10.78m 크기이다. 건물의 기둥을 받치는 돌(초석) 12개가 원을 그리며 3겹으로 놓여있다. 경사진 곳에 축대를 쌓고 그 안쪽에 흙을 채워 다져서 공간을 확보한 뒤 건물을 지었다. 흙을 채운 곳의 지반이 내려앉으면서 초석이 가라앉거나 원위치에서 이동된 것이 많고 없어진 초석도 있다. 전체 초석은 원래 36개일 것으로 추정된다. 이 가운데 원위치에 있는 것이 9개, 이동되거나 넘어진 것이 18개, 없어진 것이 9개이다. 주요 유물로 격자문 기와, 고배, 합 등이 있다.
