Co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Brazil and the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil (Centro Cultural Coreano do Brasil - CCCB), the 11th Korean Film Festival (Mostra de Cinema Coreano) will be hosted in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in the course of the month of November. In total, 17 films will be screened. Entrance is free for the general public.

The festival will take place in São Paulo, in the Petra Belas Artes, during the 3rd and 9th of November. In Rio de Janeiro, the festival will be open to the public during the 14th and the 20th of November at the Cinemateca do MAM. In São Paulo, eight films will be screened and in Rio de Janeiro, the number rises to nine.

The Korean Film Festival is the most prominent event screening Korean movies to Brazilian spectators.

2022 Korean Film Festival in Recife -Mostra de Cinema Coreano em Recife

During the 23rd and 25th of September 2022, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea partnered up with the Fundação Joaquim Nabuco de Recife to present the 2022 Korean Film Festival in Recife, located in the state of Pernambuco. In total, nine features were screened at the Derby Hall. Some highlights including “A Linha de Frente” (2011), comedy feature “Luck-Key” (2016) and action movie “Os Ladrões” (2012).

During the 25th of March and the 3rd of April, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil (Centro Cultural Coreano do Brasil - CCCB) partnered up with Cine Brasília to present the 2022 Korean Film Festival in Brasília, Brazil´s capital. In total, nine movies exploring different genres such as action, comedy and thrillers were shown to the public.
