The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, Digital Humanites LAB at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.

'''Choong Sik KIM''' received the Bachelor's degree, Master's degree and Ph. D. in Landscape Architecture from The University of Seoul, Seoul, Korea, in 1995, 1998 and 2004 respectively. Kim received his doctorate from the University of Seoul for research on predicting changes in the urban landscape by developing a three-dimensional creation simulator for buildings. He has previously worked at Kangnueng-Wonju National University, Kangwondo as an associate professor(2007-2013). He started the three-dimensional digital recording of cultural heritage while scanning scenic cultural assets in 2010.

He is a professor of Dept. of Heritage Conservation and Restoration at the Cultural Heritage Graduate School, Korea National University of Cultural Heritage. He is currently the dean of the graduate school.

He enjoys exploring subjects such as 'Designing Digital Restoration of Cultural Heritage', 'Historical Landscape Analysis and Preservation', and 'Cultural Heritage GIS' with students. He established ‘Digital Heritage Research Center’ in 2015 to conduct research and education closely related to field practice. In 2016, he wrote a book entitled ‘Digital Heritage: The Three-Dimensional Recording and Utilization of Cultural Heritage’, which contains theories, techniques and examples of digital archetype records. He is conducting research on the digital archetype documentation of natural heritage.

He is now Director of Center for Open Data in the Humanities (CODH), Joint Support-Center for Data Science Research (DS), Research Organization of Information and Systems (ROIS), Professor of National Institute of Informatics, and SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies). His primary technical interest is in image processing and pattern recognition. He also develops data-driven science in various disciplines such as humanities, earth science and environment, and disaster reduction. He is also working on a trans-disciplinary collaboration for the promotion of open science. He has received awards such as Japan Media Arts Festival Jury Recommended Works, IPSJ Yamashita Award, Jinmoncom Symposium Best Paper Award, Japan Society for Digital Archive Academic Award (Research Paper).

He speaks and publishes widely on major challenges and changes facing 21st-century society, from the global impacts of technology on communication, culture and identity to migration and human rights. Since 2017 he has been Director of the Edith Cowan Centre for Global Issues. A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, he has held visiting positions in Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America. Paul Arthur was Australia’s first Professor in Digital Humanities (Western Sydney University, 2013–16). He was previously Deputy Director of the ANU Centre for European Studies and the National Centre of Biography at the Australian National University, and was Deputy General Editor, Australian Dictionary of Biography. He has served on executive boards and councils of the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations; centerNet—the worldwide network of digital humanities centres (Co-Chair, 2015–19); the International Auto/Biography Association; the Australasian Association for Digital Humanities (founding President 2011–15, Vice-President 2018–21); the Australasian Consortium of Humanities Research Centres (2010–19); and the National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources initiative of the Australian Government (2012–18).

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, Digital Humanites LAB at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.

Mr. Wu Jian, researcher, Director of the Conservation Research Department of Dunhuang Academy, noted cultural relic photographer and cultural relic digitization expert. He has hosted the “Digital Dunhuang” project for over 20 years which is the longest-standing and largest digital conservation project for cultural relics in China. There are over 285 caves completed its digitization at the Mogao Grottoes, the Yulin Caves and the Western Thousand Buddha Caves, including wall paintings digitization, 3D reconstruction of painted sculptures, cave structures and the cave sites, VR programs making, data storage, etc. He took responsibility to lay down 13 industrial criteria for digital conservation of Chinese cultural relics and designed 28 digital achievement exhibitions at home and abroad, as well as published 15 theses and over 10 monographs. He also won the Golden Image Award in China and gave keynote speeches in China, the United States, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and other countries.

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, Digital Humanites LAB at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, the Institute of TransMedia World Literature/Digital Humanities Lab at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, the Institute of TransMedia World Literature/Digital Humanities Lab at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, the Institute of TransMedia World Literature/Digital Humanities Lab at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, the Transmedia World Literature Institute/Digital Humanities Lab at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, the Transmedia World Literature Institute/Digital Humanities Lab at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, Transmedia World Literature Institute/Digital Humanities Lab at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

The 2021 Digital Humanities Conference is co-hosted by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities, the Center for Digital Humanities at the Academy of Korean Studies, Transmedia World Literature Institute/Digital Humanities Lab at Dongguk University, and PNC, Inc.

The world prepares for a changed tomorrow with the insights and new visions gained from the ordeal that has been Covid-19. The social environment in which we live has changed in many ways and will continue to do so. As the environment changes, the lives of humans living in it change as well, and there is a need for new understandings and explanations regarding the new ways in which humans live. In the post-human era of newly defining humanity, we have no choice but to think about the ways in which humanities research and education should be maintained and changed. As we are interested in the practical applications of digital humanities, we are looking for new ways to promote the value of humanities knowledge in the post-human era with new languages such as digital data and digital content.

This academic conference aims to share the future prospects of these efforts and outcomes. We look forward to your interest and participation.
