Definition

덕수궁 서쪽에 있다. 원래는 함녕전의 정문이었다. 1904년 화재로 함녕전이 소실되고 이 문만 남은 것을 1938년 덕수궁미술관 개관 때 현재의 위치로 옮겼다. 지금 광명문 아래에는 창경궁 보루각에 있던 물시계 자격루(국보 제229호)와 흥천사(興天寺) 범종(보물 1460호) 및 폭약 화살을 다발로 쏘는 신기전기 화차(神機箭機火車) 모형이 전시되어 있다.
