정안왕후

Definition

정안왕후(定安王后,1355-1412) 조선 정종의 비. 제 2대왕 정종의 비이다. 경주 김씨. 판예빈시사 증문하좌시중월성부원군(判禮賓寺事贈門下左侍中月城府院君) 천서(天瑞)의 딸이다.1398년(태조 7) 8월 정안군 등에 의해 정도전 일파가 제거되고 남편 영안군(永安君)이 세자가 되자 세자비가 되었다. 같은 해 9월에 덕빈(德嬪)에 봉해졌다가 정종이 즉위하면서 덕비(德妃)가 되었다.

1400년(태종 즉위년) 정종이 태종에게 전위하고 상왕이 되자 순덕왕대비(順德王大妃)의 존호를 더해 받았다. 정종에게 선위하고 정양할 것을 권하여 정종이 선위를 결정하고 왕위에서 물러나 천수를 다하게 한 내조가 있다는 평가를 받은다. .

슬하에 자식이 없었고, 묘는 후릉(厚陵)으로 경기도 풍덕(豊德；개풍군 白馬山)에 있다. 1681년(숙종 7) 의 휘호를 추상받았다.
