교토관

Definition

쿄토관은 쿄토시가 운영했다. 211평의 다각형 건축물은 쿄토풍 색채를 풍부하게 보여주었다. 특산물인 실크와 의류를 내세우고 도기, 자기, 병풍과 같은 미술품을 많이 진열했다. 옆 건물에는 교토풍 휴게소를 설치하여 일반인이 이용하도록 했다.

교토관은 모더니즘의 직선적이고 평탄한 입면 구성에 일본의 전통 건축 양식의 이미지가 혼합되어 있다. 입구를 포함하여 전시관의 하부는 장식이 없는 기하학적인 입면 구성으로 모더니즘의 영향을 강하게 보여준다. 반면 건물의 상부에는 일본의 전통적인 장식이 부착되었고, 건물에 부가된 탑의 퇴상부에는 일본 전통 건축양식의 누각이 설치되었다. ㅇ
