Japanese pirates invaded the town office and caught Lady Im. The pirates wanted to dishonor her, but Lady Im firmly resisted. Pirates cut off one of arms, then further cut off her foot. However, she did not give in, and thus was killed.

Lady Im was a daughter of Im Geo, a Confucian literati from Wansan-bu district (modern Jeonju area). She married Choi Geukbu, a local supervisor of Nakan army.
