1938년 최승희의 미국 순회
1938년 1월 최승희의 미국 첫 데뷔 공연장이었던 샌프란시스코 커뮤니티 플레이하우스(Community Playhouse:1946년 해병대 기념 협회(Marines Memorial Association)가 매입하여 해병대 기념관(Marines' Memorial Theatre)으로 명칭이 바뀌었다.
1938년 1월 최승희의 샌프란시스코 공연을 관람했던 오페라 베이스 가수 표도르 살리아핀(Feodor Chaliapin)
