在廣寧驛。是日陰。張述祖告別向北京。謂臣曰。隨路千有餘里。情志有甚戀慕。我年已耳順。脚力且衰。豈復與足下相再見乎。第念足下若得志於本國。則他日必有進貢朝天之時。我家在順城門內石駙馬家前對門。其記今日之情。可賜一問否。因解襯衣。贈吳山。蓋述祖在途。嘗以吳山爲手足故也。參將崔勝令金玉邀臣等。玉。遼東人也。頗解我國語。臣令程保等從玉以往。勝大設酒饌甚盛以饋。
광녕역에 머물렀습니다.
이 날은 흐렸습니다.
장술조가 북경으로 간다고 작별하면서 신에게 말하기를,
“천여 리 길을 수행하노라니 정이 깊이 들었습니다. 내 나이 이미 60이요, 다리 힘도 쇠약하니, 어찌 다시 족하와 만날 수 있겠습니까? 다만 생각컨대, 족하께서 만약 본국에서 뜻을 이루신다면 후일에 반드시 공물을 바치고 천자를 알현할 때가 있을 것입니다. 제 집은 순성문(順城門) 안석 부마(駙馬)의 집 앞에 대문을 마주하고 있으니, 오늘의 정을 기억해 두셨다가 한 번 찾아주시지 않겠습니까?”라 하였습니다.
이어서 속옷을 벗어 오산에게 주었는데 대개 장술조가 길에서 오산을 수족(手足)으로 부렸기 때문이었습니다.
참장 최승은 김옥(金玉)으로 하여금 신 등을 맞이하게 했는데 김옥은 요동 사람으로서 우리말을 제법 할 줄 알았습니다.
신은 정보 등에게 김옥을 따라가게 했더니, 최승은 술상을 크게 차려 매우 융숭히 접대해 주었습니다.
18th Day. At Kuang-ning Station. This day was cloudy.
Chang Shu-tsu announced his departure for Peking. He said to me, “I have accompanied you over one thousand li, and I feel great love for you. I am already sixty years old, and my legs are weak; how unlikely it is that I shall ever see you again! Yet it occurs to me that if you are a success in your own country, some day you will come with tribute. When you go to Court, my house is inside Shun-ch'eng Gate, opposite Master of Second Horses41 Shih's house. I hope you will remember the feelings of this day and pay me a call.” He took off his underclothing and gave it to O San, because on the way he had made O San his closest companion.
Local Commander Ts’ui Sheng ordered Chin Yü to invite us [to be entertained]. Yü was a man of Liao-tung and understood our language rather well. I ordered Chong Po and the others to go with him, and they were entertained lavishly, with an overwhelming service of wine and food.
