二十五日,晴,通事千戶王憲、百戶吳鹽來語臣曰:“館夫不說你輩留此經日,故我等在家不知,所以來看之晚也”聖遂引程保、金重等,三堂大人根前,告以漂來首末,三堂大人都指揮使鄧玉、分守總兵官韓斌、布政司副使吳玉、巡按監察御史陳琳琳等也,夕,指揮使命吏將黃酒三盆、全猪一頭、稻米一斗、栗米一斛,來臣等,

맑았습니다.

통사인 천호 왕헌(王憲)과 백호 오새(吳靈)214가 와서 신에게 말하기를,

"관부(館夫)가 당신들이 이곳에 며칠 묵었다는 사실을 말하지 않은 까닭에 우리들은 집에 있으면서 알지 못하여 와서 뵙는 것이 늦었습니다” 라고 하였습니다.

오새는 마침내 정보, 김중 등을 이끌고 삼당(三堂) 대인의 앞에 나아가서 표류해서 온 전말을 고하였습니다.

삼당 대인은 곧 도지휘사(都指揮使)215 등옥(鄧玉), 분수총병관(分守總兵官) 한기(韓旗), 포정사부사(__政使副使) 오옥(吳玉), 순안감찰어사(巡按監察御史) 진림(陳琳) 등이었습니다.

Wu Hsi took Chong Po, Kim Chung, and others to call on the chiefs of the Three Authorities. Before them, they reported the whole story, from our going adrift to our arrival. The chiefs of the Three Authorities were Teng Yü, Regional Military Commissioner; Han Pin,46 Deputy Regional Commander; Wu Yü, Administration Vice Commissioner [Pu-cheng ssu fu-shih]; and Ch’en Lin, Regional Inspector.47
In the evening, the General ordered an officer to bring us three jugs of yellow wine, one whole pig, one peck of rice, and ten pecks of millet for a feast.

215. 都指揮使司 및 行都指揮使司의 장관으로 정2품이다. 都指揮同知, 都指揮僉事와 함께 한 省의 軍政을 관장하였다. 司의 일을 총괄하는 자는 掌印이라 하였다. 1인은 練兵을, 1인은 屯田을 통괄하였는데, 僉書라고 불렀다. 巡捕, 軍器, 漕運, 操練, 備御 의 여러 직무를 모두 통괄하였다. 모두 流官으로 충임하였으며, 조정에서 선발하여 임명하였다.
