It focuses on the representative showman Lee Chul, and helps to understand the context and relationship between various kinds of art activities and social backgrounds of the period and also aims for effective usage of these information. Lee Chul(李哲, 1903~1944) is a representative showman in Japanese colonial period who ran the Okeh Record and Chosun Music Club(朝鮮樂劇團). He led the music market by competing with large music companies under poor conditions, and also ran the most popular performance group crossing Korea, Japan, China and Manchuria. However he was also a figure who had a dark side, choosing to cooperate in the Japanese war which represents the limit of pop art activities of that period. Through this study, the ontology was designed that deals with the complex network of surrounding figures of Lee chul to fully understand the his life and the digital curation model was organized with visualizing the data. This model helped discovering the new knowledge and provided the possibility of various creative interpretations that are different from exiting ones. The model designed in this study, mainly focused on Japanese colonial period and the figures of pop artists, but also considered the extensive use in various other topics. The model will expand its use by the collaboration of researchers who conduct study about Japanese colonial period, and also will contribute to creating contents that are useful for the relevant industry.
