Definition
겸전산업주식회사(鎌田産業株式會社,1906~)는 일본인에 대해 토지소유권이 인정되지 않았던 시기(1892년 경)에 목포에 살고 있던 일본인들이 농사를 지으려는 목적으로 목포흥농협회를 조직하였고 이후 목포흥농협회가 해산한 뒤 개인 또는 단체의 농사 경영자들이 모여 겸전산업주식회사를 설립하였다. 이후 농업의 기술과 경영에 대하여 서로 경험하고 연구한 사항을 발표, 교환하여 농사를 개량할 목적으로 목포농담회를 조직하기도 했다.
