사진작가. 1953년 목포사진예술연구회(현, 한국사진작가협회 목포지부)를 결성하고 초대 회장으로 활동하였으며 1954년 7월 ‘이승모 사진전’을 개최하여 지역의 사진계와 문화계에 큰 반향을 일으킴.
