목포금융조합

Definition

목포금융조합(木浦金融組合,1919~)은 조선총독부의 금융조합령 개정에 따라 각 도마다 금융조합연합회를 설립하였다. 전라남도는 1918년 10월 29일에 금융조합연합회의 설립허가 신청서를 조선총독에게 제출하였고 이에 따라 목포를 포함한 24개의 금융조합이 설립되었다. 목포금융조합은 伴諒輔 등이 설립허가신청서를 제출하여 1919년 1월 20일 인가를 받았다. 사무소는 복산정에 두었다. 금융조합은 일제의 식민통치기구의 일부로 작용하였으며 우리민족의 자생적·자율적 협동조합을 봉쇄하는 의도를 가지고 있었다.
