Definition

미군정 시작(美軍政 始作)은 목포지역 ‘인민위원회’ 해산에서부터 비롯된다. 미군정 당국은 1945년 11월14일 ‘목포인민위원회’의 해산을 명령했고, 16일과 23일 ‘인민위원회’ 사무실을 급습하여 관계자들을 연행하고 기물을 압수했다. 결국 1946년 1월 미군정은 ‘인민위원회’의 기반을 완전히 무너뜨리고, 2월에는 목포지역 ‘인민위원회’와 ‘청년동맹’의 간부들을 재판에 넘기면서 실형을 내렸다.[1]
