보광사 산신도는 1944년에 그려진 그림이다. 그림은 소나무 아래에 앉아 있는 산신과 호랑이, 그 옆으로 쟁반에 주전자와 찻잔을 든 동자, 그리고 포도와 산삼, 영지버섯을 들고 있는 동자로 구성되어 있다.

Buddhist Painting of Bogwangsa Temple in Janggun-myeon (Mountain Spirit)

This painting, created in 1944, depicts a mountain spirit sitting under a pine tree with a tiger. To the left of the spirit are two attendant boys, one holding a tray with a tea kettle and cups, and the other holding a bowl filled with grapes, wild ginseng, and a “mushroom of immortality.”

This painting shows a balanced composition and a synthesis of Buddhist and shamanistic painting aesthetics.
