해설문

국문

고려의 후삼국 통일을 도운 삼태사의 한 사람인 김선평을 모시기 위한 사당으로 1770년에 후손들이 건립하였으나 용도가 바뀌어 문중의 대소사를 의논하기 위한 종회소로 사용하게 되었다. 그 후 담장과 건물이 훼손되어 1804년에 원래 위치의 조금 아래에 중건하였다. 한국전쟁 당시 육군 통신대가 이 곳에 머물렀을 때 화재가 발생하여 서까래와 기둥 일부에 그을린 흔적이 남아 있다. 크기는 정면 3칸, 측면 2칸이며 건물 앞쪽의 들문 구성 수법은 그 유례가 드문 특이한 양식을 하고 있다. 더욱이 종회소라는 용도의 건물은 매우 희귀한 것이며 재실과는 의미가 다른 문중집회장소로 사용되고 있다는 점이 특이하다.

영문

This building was originally built in 1770 as a shrine for Kim Seon-pyeong, the founder of the Andong Kim Clan. As a man of a powerful local family in the Andong area, Kim supported Wang Geon, the founder of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392), in defeating Later Baekje in 930 and was appointed as a meritorious subject. Later, the building was used as an assembly hall of the Andong Kim Clan to discuss important family matters. It is rare for a clan to have this type of exclusive meeting space, making this building very unique.

During the Korean War (1950-1953), a fire broke out when South Korean troops were temporarily stationed in this building, leaving traces of soot on the rafters and pillars.
