해설문
국문
혜봉원목조석가여래삼존상은 혜봉원의 법당인 불이정사(不二精舍)에 모셔져 있다. 이 삼존상은 조선 숙종 38년(1712)에 부안의 도솔암에서 만들어진 것인데 후에 익산 혜봉원으로 옮겨졌다고 한다. 가운데 석가여래좌상이 있고 양옆에 보현보살과 문수보살이 있다. 오른쪽의 문수보살은 전에 잃어버려서 최근에 다시 만들어 모셔 둔 것이다.
보살상은 흔히 연꽃 가지를 들고 있으나 이곳의 보현보살은 불상과 같은 손 모양을 하고 있다. 불상이 만들어진 사연을 알 수 있는 조성 발원문이 남아 있으며, 형태가 단순하고 소박한 조선 후기 불상 양식을 잘 표현한 점에서 중요한 자료로 평가되고 있다.

영문 해설 내용
이 삼존상은 석가여래상과 양옆에 보현보살과 문수보살로 이루어져 있다.
원래 1712년 부안 개암사의 도솔암에서 만들어졌으나 한국전쟁 때 도솔암이 화재로 소실된 후 1973년에 익산의 혜봉원으로 옮겨졌다고 한다. 오른쪽의 문수보살은 원래의 상이 분실되어 최근 새로 만든 것이다.
흔히 보살상은 연꽃 가지를 들고 있는 모습으로 만들어지지만, 이 삼존상의 경우 보현보살이 석가여래와 같은 손 모양을 하고 있는 점이 독특하다.
