국문
창녕 영산 신씨 고가2는 부유한 농가주택의 전형적인 형태를 띠고 있는 창녕 영산 신씨의 살림집이다.
현재 안채와 고방채*, 사랑채, 대문채, 별채, 안대문 등 6동이 남아 있다. 여성 공간인 안채와 남성 공간인 사랑채 사이에 대문을 달아 공간을 분리하였고 안마당을 넓게 잡아 집안 대소사를 치르거나 일을 하는 데 불편함이 없도록 하였다. 상류 주택의 보수성과 민가의 실용성을 두루 갖추었다고 평가할 수 있다.
이 집은 안채, 대문채, 사랑채의 지붕 끝 기와에 새겨진 글을 통해 19세기 중반에 세워진 것을 알 수 있으며 조선 후기의 건축 양식이 잘 보존되어 있어 건축사적 가치가 높다.

영문 해설 내용
이 집은 영산신씨 집안의 살림집이다. 19세기 중반에 지어진 것으로 추정된다.
현재 안채, 곳간채, 사랑채, 대문채, 별채 등 6동의 건물이 남아있다. 안채와 사랑채 사이에 문을 달아 공간을 분리하였고, 안마당을 넓게 잡아 집안 행사가 있을 때 편리하게 일할 수 있도록 하였다. 상류 주택의 보수성과 민가의 실용성을 두루 갖추었다.
