Prior to the excavation of the site, this area had been known as "worship hall field." Excavations confirmed the existence of building sites dating to the early period of the Goryeo dynasty (918-1392) and later. The Joseon-period remains were smaller in scale than the Goryeo-period remains.

The area is located on the elevated ground at the back of the temple complex. It was confirmed that buildings stood here since the early Goryeo period (918-1392). However, the buildings constructed during the Joseon period were significantly smaller in size. The structural remains of the Joseon period include an inner gate on the southern side, a warship hall built at back facing the stone pagoda of the west courtyard, two building on either side of the worship hall, (remains of) a stone lantern in front of the worship hall, and narrow elongated building located 중심 건물터 주위에* which could have been a monks’ living quarters or a storage building.

The Joseon-period sites include, from front to back, an inner gate, a stone lantern, a worship hall that is oriented to face the Baekje-period stone pagoda, and a long and narrow building that is presumed to have been a monks’ living quarters or a storage facility.

A number of artifacts from the Joseon period were excavated here, including roof tiles engraved with the years 1514 and 1537 and white porcelain from the 1500s, which is presumed to have been the period of highest activity at this site. These buildings are presumed to have been destroyed in a fire around the year 1600.

*What is 중심 건물터? The worship hall? Or all of the buildings described before? And what does 주위에 mean?

I couldn’t figure it out from the 위치도.
