At the center of the shrine there is a main hall that used to enshrine the royal portrait, and in front of this hall stands a pavilion. A ritual is performed at the pavilion as well as on the ground. There are three rows of stone pavement on the ground; the one in the middle is for the spirit of the king, and the two on either side are for those who carry a bowl of scent.

The main hall is composed of a ritual section in the center and two auxiliary wings on either side. In the ritual section, there is a room in the rear for enshrining the royal portrait, and an extended roof in the front, under and in front of which the rituals were performed. Leading from the main hall's gate to the extended roof are three stone pathways; the path in the center is for the spirit of the king, and the two on either side are for participants in the ritual who carry bowls of incense.

There is a pair of wooden turtles attached to the front of the red gable of the pavilion. This symbolizes a protection of this wooden building from fire because turtles are believed to live long and also they live in water, which would offset fire. Besides, there are six water containers on the ground in case of a fire.
