해설문
국문
이 기념탑은 1964년부터 1973년까지 세계평화와 자유민주주의 수호를 위해 월남전에 참전한 경산시 출신 참전유공자들의 숭고한 뜻을 기리기 위해 건립하였다. 1960년대 전쟁과 가난의 어려운 시기에 발발한 월남전은 조국의 빈곤퇴치와 국방력 증강 등에 비약적 발전의 계기가 되어 오늘의 평온과 풍성함으로 국가와 민족에 지대한 공헌을 하였다.
이 기념탑은 월남전에 참전하여 희생하신 참전유공자들의 나라사랑 정신을 기리고자 경산출신의 참전유공자 명단을 각인하였으며, 월남전에 참전한 희생자들의 공훈을 기리고 후손들의 안보의식 고취와 나라사랑의 역사적 산 교육장으로 활용되기를 바란다.

Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the Vietnam War
This memorial monument was completed in June 2019 to honor soldiers from Gyeongsan who died in combat during the Vietnam War (1954-1959).

영문 해설 내용
이 기념탑은 베트남전에 참전한 경산시 출신 군인들을 기리기 위해 2019년 6월에 건립되었다.
한국은 1964년부터 1973년까지 약 32만 명의 군인을 베트남에 파병하였다. 이는 자유민주주의와 우방에 대한 신의라는 명분에서 시작되었으며, 나아가 한국의 국방력 증강과 경제 발전에도 비약적인 발전의 계기가 되었다.
이 기념탑 뒤에는 경산 출신 월남전 참전유공자들의 명단이 새겨져 있다.
