예숙공 최석 재상 삼봉분은 고려의 문관 최석과 그의 두 부인이 묻힌 무덤 3기를 말한다. 이들 세 사람의 무덤은 5걸음씩 떨어진 채로 삼봉분 형태를 이루고 있다. 그 형태가 독특하고 역사가 오래되었으므로 보호하고 있다.

최석은 고려 문종 5년(1051)에 장원급제한 이후 많은 벼슬을 지낸 끝에 재상에 이르렀다. 선종 대에는 왕세자의 스승인 수태보에 오르는 등 당대를 대표하는 문인이다. 최석은 첫째 부인이 후손 없이 세상을 떠나자 재혼을 하였다. 최석이 96세로 세상을 떠날 때 첫째 부인의 무덤 앞쪽에 묻혔다. 이후 최석의 둘째 부인이 세상을 떠나자 첫째 부인의 무덤 뒤쪽에 묻혀 지금과 같은 삼봉분 형태를 갖추었다.

묘 앞에 세워진 비석의 글씨는 조선 영조 때 좌의정을 지낸 서예가 서명균이 적은 것이다. 해마다 동주최씨 후손들이 이곳에 모여 제를 올린다.

고려시대의 문신 최석과 그의 두 부인이 묻힌 무덤 3기이다. 앞에서부터 최석, 첫째 부인, 둘째 부인의 묘이다. 남편과 두 부인이 3기의 봉분으로 각각 안치되는 것은 매우 드문 사례이다.

최석은 1051년 과거에 장원으로 급제한 후 여러 벼슬을 지냈다. 왕세자의 스승이기도 했으며, 당대를 대표하는 문인이었다. 최석이 63세 때 첫째 부인이 후손 없이 세상을 떠나자 현재의 위치에 묘를 조성했다. 최석은 6년 뒤 둘째 부인과 재혼하였고, 96세로 세상을 떠나 첫째 부인의 무덤 앞쪽에 묻혔다. 이후 둘째 부인이 세상을 떠난 후에는 첫째 부인의 무덤 뒤쪽에 묻혔다.
