해설문
국문
원리 도율 종중 고택은 안동 권씨 사용공파의 살림집이다. 살림집은 중앙에 안마당, 앞쪽에 ‘一’ 자 모양의 문간채와 뒤쪽에 ‘ㄷ’ 자 모양의 안채로 구성된 평면 ‘ㅁ’ 자 모양의 기와지붕 집이다. 안주인이 생활하는 안채는 왼쪽부터 곳간, 대청, 안방이 있고, 안방 앞에는 부엌, 곳간 앞에는 문간, 윗방이 있다. 문 옆에 붙여 지은 집으로 주로 아랫사람이 생활했던 문간채에는 왼쪽부터 마구간, 안마당으로 들어가는 중문과 온돌방이 있다.
살림집의 왼쪽에는 사용 권경주를 추모하여 세운 모운정이라는 정자가 있다. 모운정에는 온돌방이 있는데, 바깥주인이 거처하면서 손님을 맞이하는 사랑방의 성격도 있다.
도율 종중 고택은 일부가 변형되었지만, 주요 부분은 원형을 유지하고 있다. 건물 가운데 마당을 둔 뜰집은 튼 ‘ㅁ’ 자형에서 ‘ㅁ’ 자형으로 발전하는 과정을 보여 준다. 또한, 살림집에 정자까지 갖춘 조선 시대 후기의 상류 주택 모습을 잘 간직하고 있어서 조선 시대 가옥 연구에 중요한 자료라고 할 수 있다. 살림집은 18세기, 정자는 19세기에 건립하였다고 한다.

영문 해설 내용
이 집은 영주 지역에 세거하는 안동권씨 가문의 살림집이다.
18세기에 지어졌으며, 앞쪽의 문간채와 뒤쪽의 안채가 안마당을 가운데 두고 ‘ㅁ’자형을 이루고 있다. 안채에는 대청, 안방, 부엌, 곳간 등이 있고, 문간채에는 이 집의 하인들이 쓰던 방과 마구간이 있다.
집 바로 왼쪽에 있는 모운정은 이 집안 후손들이 19세기에 세운 것이다. 이 정자에는 온돌방이 있으며, 집안의 남성이 거주하면서 손님을 맞이하는 사랑채의 기능을 하기도 했다.
원래 원리에 있었는데, 영주댐 건설로 현재 위치로 옮겨졌다.
