국문
금광리 까치구멍집*은 안동 김씨 집성촌인 동호 마을에 있었다. 이 집의 내력에 관한 자료는 없지만, 현재 집주인인 김숙희의 증조부가 살았던 집이라고 전한다. 그러나 그 이전부터 살았을 가능성도 있다.
금광리 까치구멍집은 방을 앞뒤 2열로 배치한 겹집으로, 앞면 3칸, 옆면 2칸, 총 6칸의 규모이다. 집 앞쪽에는 왼쪽부터 마구간, 출입 공간인 봉당, 부엌이 있다. 뒤쪽에는 왼쪽부터 사랑방, 마루, 안방이 있다.
이 집은 까치구멍집의 전형을 간직하고 있으며, 사랑 부분의 마루를 평면으로 구성하였고 여러 곳에 수납공간을 설치한 점이 특징이다. 나아가 서민 가옥의 민속적 특징을 잘 보여 주는 귀중한 자료이다. 영주댐을 건설하면서 현재 위치로 옮겼다.

이 집은 금광리의 안동김씨 집성촌인 동호마을에 있던 것으로, 정확한 창건 연대는 알 수 없다.
안채는 통풍과 채광을 위해 지붕의 양쪽 끝에 구멍을 낸 까치구멍집이다. ‘까치구멍집’이라는 이름은 이 구멍이 까치의 둥지를 닮았다고 해서 붙여졌으며, 이런 형태의 집은 특히 경상북도 북부 지역에 많이 지어졌다. 부엌, 봉당, 온돌방, 대청, 마구간으로 이루어진 폐쇄적인 구조로, 눈이 많이 와도 집 안에서 모든 생활을 할 수 있고 대문만 닫으면 맹수의 공격을 막을 수 있었다.
