해설문

국문

아도화상 사적비와 도리사 불량답 시주질비는 도리사 남쪽의 비탈진 소나무 숲에 남쪽을 향하여 나란히 서 있다.

아도화상 사적비는 효종 6년(1655)에 세운 것으로 아도화상이 신라에 불교를 전한 내용을 적은 것이며, 뒷면에는 ‘자운비(慈雲碑)’라는 글자를 음각으로 새겼다.

받침돌은 자연석이며 비석의 머릿돌 앞면에는 쌍룡을, 뒷면에는 4룡을 조각하고 그 사이에 구름을 타는 용을 조각한 독특한 모양을 하고 있다.

불량답시주질비는 도리사 운영에 보태기 위해 논과 밭을 보시한 사람의 이름과 그 양을 기록한 것으로, 숙종 38년(1712)에 세웠다. 비석의 앞면과 뒷면에는 연꽃 봉오리와 줄기를 돋을 새김하였고, 머릿돌 중앙에는 보주(寶珠)*를 새겼다.

이 비석은 능철(能哲)스님의 책임 아래에 만들었으며, 김성원(金成元)이 글자를 새겼다.
