해설문
국문
상현리 반송은 높이가 15m에 이르며 나이가 500살가량으로 추정되는 오래된 소나무이다. 반송은 굵은 줄기가 여러 갈래로 뻗어서 우산 모양으로 자라는 소나무 품종이다.
나무가 거대하고 탑같이 보인다 하여 ‘탑송’이라고도 한다. 옛날에는 이 나무에 이무기가 살고 있다고 하여 낙엽조차 긁어가지 않았다고 한다. 요즘에는 지역의 역사와 문화를 상징하는 자연유산으로 여겨 아껴 보살피고 있다. 정월 대보름에 나무 밑에 모여 마을의 안녕과 풍년을 비는 제사를 지내는 풍습이 이어져 오고 있다.

반송은 소나무과의 상록침엽수로, 한국, 일본, 중국 등에서 자란다. 밑동에서부터 곁가지가 여러 갈래로 갈라지는 것이 특징이다.
이 나무는 나이가 500년 이상 된 것으로 추정된다. 나무가 거대하고 탑같이 보인다하여 ‘탑송’이라고도 한다. 높이는 15m이다.
마을 사람들은 예로부터 이 나무를 신성하게 여겨 낙엽조차 가져가지 않았다고 한다. 정월대보름에는 이 나무 앞에서 마을의 안녕과 풍년을 비는 제사를 지낸다.
