After Baekje Hospital was shut down in 1932, a Chinese acquired the building to run a high-end Chinese restaurant. When World War II reached its peak, the restaurant was closed and the building was used as a dormitory for Japanese military officers who were stationed in Busan. After the liberation of Korea from Japanese rule in 1945, this building was briefly used as Busan Public Safety Headquarters, and then as a temporary Chinese Embassy. In 1953, it became a wedding hall.

This building originally had five stories but lost the fifth floor due to fire in 1972. After renovation, it became a four-story commercial building. The exterior walls of the first and second floors, the doors, and the stair well preserve the features of the Western-style hospital architecture of the early 20th century in Korea.
