국문
남해 용문사 소장 문헌은 용문사에서 소장하고 있는 필사본 전적 2권 5책인 『만년통고(萬年通考)』 2책과 『복전집(福田集)』 3책이다. 1704년(숙종 30)부터 1956년까지 용문사 사찰 내의 주지와 간부 승려의 변동 사항, 사찰 내의 각종 중요 사항, 시주의 명단과 시주물목과 국내의 여러 가지 사건과 행사 등을 기록하고 있다.
특정 사찰의 사적(事蹟) 기록물로서 뿐만 아니라 지방에서 작성된 역사기록물로서 사료적 가치가 높다. 당시의 실명이 기록되어 있는 필사본으로 남해지역 지방사, 사찰사 연구에도 중요한 자료이다.
