해설문
국문
1890년에 건축한 중부 해안 지방의 중류층 주택이다. ㄱ자 형의 안채와 대문채가 마주하고 있는 ㅁ자 형식으로, 비교적 큰 목재를 사용해서 정교하게 가공하여 건축하였다.
안채는 대청마루를 중심으로 서쪽에 남북으로 길게 안방을, 동쪽에 건넌방을 배치하였다. 앞쪽에 툇마루를 놓았으며 뒤에는 퇴를 내어 벽장을 설치했다. 대문채는 출입문인 대문을 중심으로 동쪽에는 사랑방을, 서쪽에는 방과 창고를 두었는데 방 앞에는 툇마루가 있다.
영문
This traditional Korean house is a middle-class residence built in 1890 at the end of the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). It consists of a main quarters and a gate quarters. These two L-shaped buildings face each other to form a square layout. The main quarters includes a wooden floor hall with an under-floor heated room on either side. To the right of the gate in the gate quarters, there is a room for the master of the house, and to the left there is another room and a storage space.
